If you attended the 5th Annual Burger Bash at Golden Nugget last Saturday there is a probability factor that you may still be in the grips of a food coma, so you may not have a chance to read this. Just to put in perspective, The Deauville Inn’s sister location, Yesterday’s Creekside Tavern (located at 316 Roosevelt Blvd in Marmora), competed at Burger Bash and went through over 600 burgers in the span of 3 hours ((insert mind blown emoji here)). We brought the meat! And apparently clogged arteries… Incidentally, we took home the Heart Attack Award... Way to go YCT!! If you did not attend, and you ARE reading this, and are wondering what to do this weekend, then you’re in luck! This weekend is jam-packed to the brim with excitement.

Without further ado, the Circus is here ((as every adult’s inner child squees while confetti cannons blast into the sky))! Debuted last Thursday, June 16th, and keeping residence at Showboat Fairgrounds through Monday, September 5th, is the Super American Circus, hosted by legendary Circus producer, Tuffy Nicholas. Aside from having one of the coolest monikers ever, Tuffy is the son of Count Nicholas, the world-acclaimed Ringmaster, who performed for Ringling Brothers Circus for nearly three decades and was inducted into the Circus Ring of Fame in 2016. For over 35 years, Tuffy has been a successful producer and promoter of Circuses, Concerts, Festivals and Sporting Events around the world. Since 2000, as president and CEO of Global Entertainment Productions, Mr. Nicholas has produced over 5000 performances around the World, and has returned this summer, performing every Thursday through Sunday, with his giant yellow tent acting like a beacon of hope for thrills and laughs. Doors open 1 hour prior to the start time. Get your tickets today at https://www.superamericancircus.com/book-online.

Starting on Thursday and running through Sunday, June 26th, Golden Nugget is hosting their annual Fake Fest! This annual event is definitely something to experience, and not just to have your mind melted from the awesome guitar shreds ((insert Bill and Ted doing air guitars)). Specifically, because the musicians will make you do a double take all weekend long. On Friday, catch Completely Unchained, a Van Halen tribute band, at 7pm & 9:40pm, and Guns & Roses cover band, Nightrain, at 8:20pm & 11:10pm. On Saturday enjoy your favorites from Tom Petty tribute, Refugee, at 1:30pm & 8pm, Lynryd Skynryd tribute, Tuesday's Gone, 3:10pm & 9:35pm, and then get your lead out with Stairway to Zeppelin at 4:50pm & 11:10pm. Stick around because on Sunday, you can rock out to Fleetwood Macked (guess who they cover?) at 1pm & 7pm, enjoy Chicago covers by Beginnings at 2:50pm & 8:35pm, and then finish out your Sunday night with Journey Cover Band, Separate Ways, at 4:40pm & 10:10pm.

Hop on over to New York Avenue and catch what Bourre is offering this weekend at their summer stage. Friday they’re serving up Badfish! ((record scratch)) To be clear, dear reader, Bourre does not, nor have they ever served to their patrons spoiled seafood. Sublime tribute band, Badfish, will be performing on Friday, June 24th, from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets will run you between $30 and $50. On Saturday, June 25th, Anaheim rock band, Buckcherry will take the stage from 5 to 10 pm. And on Sunday, June 26th, from 7 to 11:55 pm, Haus of Qweens Productions presents their Pride Edition, Daddies and Baddies, with live performances by Arrow The Nerd, The Cowboy, Stiletta, Fantasy Eliz and Hollywood Jay. Hosts Hollywood Jay & McQween will leave you breathless and thoroughly entertained!

And last, but by no means, least, over at Bader Field, hosted by Steel Pier, The Atlantic City Seafood and Music Festival returns this Friday, June 24th, and runs through Sunday, June 26th. This three-day extravaganza of food, drinks, music, rides, games, and family fun is THE way to kick off the summer the right way. Perfect for all ages, and they’re even offering hot air balloon rides, hosted by Lehigh Valley Hot Air! You get to gorge on delicious seafood and then soar through the sky, all whilst listening to stellar tunes. It's genu9inely a remarkable event. General Admission is free on Friday, then $11 on Saturday and Sunday. You may want to splurge a bit on VIP Access though. Here’s why: A VIP ticket includes festival admission, entry to the VIP tent with open bar (guest under 21 will enjoy bottomless non-alcoholic beverages), all you can eat seafood buffet, feasting on bountiful platters of crab legs, shrimp, fish and chips, mac and cheese! They are offering so much more but to be perfectly transparent, once I saw “mac and cheese” naturally my brain froze and my eyes couldn’t move forward. Anyhoo… I didn’t even get to the music line up! Kicking off the festival is The Cranked Up Country Band, filling up Saturday is The Killer B’s, Jimmy & The Parrots, and Best of The Eagles. Sunday, you have your fill with Glenn Roberts, The E Street Shuffle, and finishing out the night on a high with Sensational Soul Cruisers, an extremely entertaining and impressive classic soul, Motown and disco band!

And if none of these tickle your fancy you can always come visit me at ((shameless work plug)) The Deauville Inn, in Strathmere, and see what all the hub bub is about ((insert winky emoji here)). Lord knows I’ll be there all weekend long… I really do need to get a pull-out couch… or a cot at the very least… and some throw pillows… to hug and tell myself everything is going to be alright… Until next week, folks… #stayjerseystrong!
