Contemplating last minute ideas for this weekend? Well, you’re in luck. There are a few exciting events happening this weekend in Atlantic City, I think might help. Below is a list of some ideas, and of course I saved my most favorite idea for last. Keep reading. I will admit, I’m still so happy excited to witness the city, and it’ business inhabitants thriving again after such a long, and painfully drawn out Schmovid pandemic. But! As we know, life goes on. I'm rambling. Let’s dive in.
Performing live at Ovation Hall, at Ocean Casino Resort, is Aaron Lewis. Lewis an American musician who is best known as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and founding member of the rock band Staind, with whom he released seven studio albums. Since 2010, he has pursued a successful solo career in country music with his debut EP Town Line, which was released in 2011. Over at The Music Box, at Borgata, you can check out Australian-English soft rock duo, Air Supply. Consisting of English-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Graham Russell and Aussie lead vocalist Russell Hitchcock, Air Supply had a succession of hits worldwide, including eight top-ten hits in the United States in the early 1980s. American singer and songwriter Peabo Bryson is coming to the Tropicana Showroom with special guest Oleta Adams this Saturday at 8:00 pm. And lastly, ((insert thundering drum roll here)) something I mentioned a couple weeks ago, an event of the most epic proportions is FINALLY here: Wing Wars! You must know how unbelievably excited I am for this. And not just my dream of steam-rolling through the ballroom with my head flip-topped open and inhaling as many wings as inhumanly possible. But it’s not just my stomach that drives this excitement. More than 15 South Jersey eateries, bars and restaurants will compete for ultimate wing supremacy at Atlantic City Weekly’s Wing Wars V Noon to 4 p.m. this Saturday. It’s an all-you-can-eat wing extravaganza, presented by 103.7 WMGM Rocks, and your favorite Communications Director ((and... your only communications director)) will be there, representing ((shameless work plug)) The Deauville Inn!
